PRS III (PRS LONG RANGE)

In order to participate in the PRS III course, PRS I and II have to be completed, as well as our Long Range I class. There is a simple reason for that: The skills aquired in the first two PRS classes are combined with long range shots up to 1000m. This means that apart from shooting from different positions, and fast but precise shooting, also external environmental factors have to be considered and judged correctly. The basics of “reading the wind” taught in the Long Range I class, as well as a click chart for your own rifle/ammunition are an absolute must for PRS III!

FOCUS

  • Mastering environmental factors at long range distances
  • Ripid fire sequences at long distances to optimize the shooter/spotter team
  • Judging environmental factors
  • Shot placement assessment by spotter and shot correction
  • Material requirements, ammunition
  • Introduction into Kestrel 5700 Elite weather meter (provided for class)
  • Varying shooting positions (advanced: stability, rapid position changes)
  • Standard shooting drills at 800m and 1000m in all positions
  • Speed drills at multiple distances, 400m-600m-800m (distance hopping)
  • Step by step instruction for the cooperation between spotter and shooter in a practical setting
